Choosing a New Thermostat

Digital thermostats are available in several styles, including:

• 5-1-1 – This style thermostat allows you to keep the same program Monday through Friday and program different settings for Saturday and Sunday.

• 5+2-day – If your schedule is typically consistent, this model allows you to program one schedule for Monday through Friday and another schedule for Saturday through Sunday.

• 7-day – The 7-day styleis the most flexible, allowing you to program each day of the week differently. If your family members are in and out of the house at different times every day, this type of thermostat is probably ideal for you.

Next, choose your options:

• Automatic changeover – Handy if you live in a climate where the days may be warm, but nights are significantly cooler.

• Backlit display – Whether or not you’re afraid of the dark, having the keypad and display light up is something you’ll appreciate.

• Filter change reminder – Never forget to change the furnace or A/C filter again (or tell someone else to!).
